Pottery is often found at archeological sites. In this activity, patrons will design their own pottery, cut it into pieces (known as “potsherds” at dig sites), and leave it at the library’s “dig site” for someone else to find and put together.

Create a unique dinosaur using a paper plate, felt, foam and other materials. Ages 7-12. Call to make reservations.

Kids can step back in time by creating their own cave paintings inspired by ancient parietal art. Using earthy colors and simple shapes, they’ll draw or paint on our makeshift “cave wall” just like early artists once did. It’s a creative, hands‑on way to explore history through art.
