Hooked on Rugs and Pottery

Explore rugs and pottery through two local artists and their works. Cindy Guest from the Plain Township Historical Society presents on artists Gertrude Oberlin Roberts and Charles Clewell. Gertrude Oberlin Roberts spent over 40 years hooking rugs, many of her own design, and won numerous awards at the Stark County Fair. Charles Clewell developed a process to combine pottery and metal workings to create unique designs with some of the pieces in the Canton Museum of Art and Jessie Besmer Museum.
