Reading Buddies!

We want to be your school aged child's reading buddy! Sign up your school aged child for a 30 minute reading buddy session to share in the joy and power of reading. Library volunteers read aloud favorite books by asking questions, building vocabulary, and connecting to your child's world. This semester will begin June 1st. Sessions are available every Tuesday from 11-12. Children register for a weekly reading buddy time for the entire semester! Other Info: Children should be in K- 5th grade. Children should make a great effort to attend all scheduled reading buddy sessions, as volunteers are donating their valuable time to read with your child. Families are required to notify the Library branch at least 24 hours in advance if you will be absent. Children should not miss more than 3 sessions each semester. Children will give up their slot if they cannot adhere to absence requirements and placed on a waiting list. There will be no sessions when the Library is closed. Please be on time, or a few minutes early each week for your scheduled appointment. Please be prepared with a book to read as well! Want to be notified about future events?
