Leaps in Literacy

A free, early intervention literacy program for neurodiverse students in grades 2-8 with suspected or diagnosed learning disabilities, ADHD or level 1 autism. It's a multisensory program to ensure access and support for each student’s unique learning style. The program is based on the most recent science of reading, the OHRC Right to Read recommendations and the new Ontario Language curriculum. Lessons are taught by trained staff/educators and each lesson is broken into short chunks that focus on a different literacy skill to ensure engagement. Staff monitor the groups’ progress and differentiate the lessons for individual students where necessary. Presented by the Centre for Diverse Learners .
