Terrific Movie Tuesdays: In & Out

On Tuesday, May 5 at 2 p.m. the Chevy Chase Neighborhood Library will screen the 1997 film In & Out . The film will be screened in the second floor meeting room. In In & Out, Kevin Kline plays a straitlaced teacher whose life is upended when a former student publicly labels him as gay, prompting him to confront his sexuality while dealing with a gay reporter (Tom Selleck) and his concerned fiancée (Joan Cusack, in an Oscar nominated performance.) Also starring Matt Dillon, Debbie Reynolds & Bob Newhart. All throughout June, we will be screening groundbreaking LGBT films from the 90's, followed by a group discussion that asks the question: "does it hold up?" Based upon the book Wicked by Gregory Maguire . Starring Cynthia Erivo , Ariana Grande , Jeff Goldblum , Michelle Yeoh and Jonathan Bailey . Directed by Jon Chu . U.S. , PG, 2 hours, 18 minutes.
