We invite older adults to join us for a fitness session of mindful movements led by Phyllis Benjamin . Phyllis is a retired literacy specialist who taught in Newton elementary schools for over 20 years. She has been studying and teaching traditional martial arts since 2015 and holds a 3rd degree black belt in Oom Yung Doe. She is passionate about helping seniors stay fit, active, and flexible through healthy movement. Phyllis will lead the group through an hour-long class of low impact exercises and stretches that can be performed seated or standing. No registration required. Classes will typically take place every Monday afternoon. When the Library is closed on a Monday for a holiday, that week's class will take place on the Friday of that week. Accessibility Notice : We strive to make our events accessible. To request a disability accommodation and/or language services, contact the department listed in the "Contact Info" pane on the right.
