Join us on Saturday mornings for Tai chi and Qigong led by volunteer instructor, Thầy Đàm Hạnh . Tai chi is a traditional Chinese martial art involving a series of slow, gentle movements and physical postures, meditation, and controlled breathing. Tai chi is low impact, placing minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages and fitness levels. Also rooted in traditional Chinese martial arts and medicine, Qigong involves using movement and breathing exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being. All are welcome! Registration is not required to attend, but make sure to sign up below to receive email reminders. Please note: We will not be hosting Tai Chi on Saturday, April 11. Accessibility Notice: We strive to make our events accessible. To request a disability accommodation and/or language services, contact the department listed in the "Contact Info." Please allow at least two weeks to arrange accommodation. Programming at the Boston Public Library is funded through private support.
