Chess for Beginners

Have you ever wanted to learn to play chess? Maybe you're totally new to the board... or maybe you know how the pieces move, but don't really have any strategies... either way, you're in luck! Join us at the College Ave branch for a six-week series on the basics of chess with Coach Michael! LEARN the foundational principles of the game, SOLVE chess puzzles that will teach winning strategies, and PLAY with other beginners to strengthen your skills! Come build critical thinking, confidence, and community through chess! (Registration is strongly encouraged, as each session will build off of previously-learned skills)
