Geared toward children. Might a curled leaf look like a rat? Or maybe a feathery seed looks like a bird? Drop in to the second floor Cargill Gallery and discover your own plant-animal using shadow play with plants. Shadow “animals” will be cut out and collected in tiny handmade books or envelopes. Stop by for quick, artmaking fun or stay a while and explore different plants, shadows, and handmade books. Exhibiting artist Lilly Crawford will guide the plant-animal project and share about the I Am the Tree, the Tree is Me exhibit. Sponsor: Friends of the Hennepin County Library. View the I am the Tree, the Tree is Me exhibit – on display April 1-May 29 in Cargill Gallery on the second floor of Minneapolis Central Library.
