I founded BAKr in 2024 under Small Business and Sundry LLC as I really like to bake, and so I figured that if I can make a booming baking business, I can blog about the process here and also on www.smallbusinessandsundry.com

We are no longer open for daily walk-in retail hours, but we are very much open for custom orders, events, weddings, and holiday pop-ups.

The Charleston Visitors Information Station is located inside historic Capitol Market. This is a great place to start your tour of the area. You can grab a cup of coffee or bite to eat, pick up brochures and enjoy our interactive kiosk to plan your adventure.

Visit us today to satisfy your cravings for authentic, freshly prepared pastries. Our bakery was established in 1948 by James and Marie Williams, at the present site on Chestnut Street. It is home to the original "Hot Dog" pastry.
