Join us for a special storytime on Wednesday, June 24th at 10:30AM. Matthew from Highland Music Studio will be presenting a free music class. You'll have so much fun as you sing, wiggle, shake and drum, you won't realize how much learning is taking place!

Participants gather natural materials like leaves, petals, and twigs to create their own unique nature‑inspired collages. This hands‑on craft encourages creativity while helping kids explore textures and patterns from the outdoors.

In this creative workshop, teens build their own strata‑style collages by layering colors and materials to mimic the look of rock and sediment. As they tuck small shapes or symbols between layers, they’ll uncover how art can reveal hidden stories just waiting to be found.

Building Blocks provides an environment where children and caregivers begin to develop language, motor, and social skills together. Playtime activities are followed by storytime.

Basic machine sewing proficiency is required. This program will not include a machine tutorial. Sewing machines and all project materials provided. Support provided by DeKalb Library Foundation.

Bring your creativity outside as we transform the library’s front walkway into a colorful chalk art gallery. Families and kids of all ages can draw, doodle, and decorate the sidewalk with their own imaginative designs.
