For children ages 3 and under, with a caregiver. Older siblings welcome.

At the tail-end of summer this is a creative and fun way to have teens consider how they want this school year to look. Expressing thought and emotion through stickers, paint, collage, and various other craft supplies, I hope to instill some goal-setting for the 2026-2027 school year.

Using the bold look of the Declaration of Independence, we will learn calligraphy basics and explore ways to write a fancy signature like those of our founding fathers.

Get ready for all things summer reading at the Mitchell Street Library! We will have buttons, bookmarks, popsicles, and even a mermaid! Mermaid Ophelia will be here from 3-4 pm and discuss the importance of Milwaukee's waterways and how to protect them. Meet & Greet to follow.

Come paint a picture with the sun! We’ll explore the science of cyanotype printing and you’ll make a print or bookmark to take home. All materials provided. Registration encouraged but not required.

A story Time designed especially for adults! Why should kids be the only ones who get read to in the library? Come to the Community Room at King for a relaxing hour listening to a good tale or two.
