Beat those Wednesday blues with Midweek Makers! Come get creative, using either an assortment of art supplies from the Art Cart, or using building straws, Magna Tiles, and LEGO bricks during You Build It! on alternating Wednesdays all year long. Make new friends, bring your family, or stop by after.

Enjoy a 20 minute storytime, followed by play with educational toys for kids under 3 with an adult.

At the tail-end of summer this is a creative and fun way to have teens consider how they want this school year to look. Expressing thought and emotion through stickers, paint, collage, and various other craft supplies, I hope to instill some goal-setting for the 2026-2027 school year.

Stop in and get creative at the art cafe paint and sip! Find inspiration from examples of art historical works or tap into your imagination and make your own creation. Light refreshments provided.

Join us in closing out the summer here at Zablocki branch library with... slime! We'll learn how to make fluffy slime using household ingredients, and you'll get to customize your creation with add-ins like color and glitter. Registration recommended to ensure available supplies.

Using the bold look of the Declaration of Independence, we will learn calligraphy basics and explore ways to write a fancy signature like those of our founding fathers.

Get ready for all things summer reading at the Mitchell Street Library! We will have buttons, bookmarks, popsicles, and even a mermaid! Mermaid Ophelia will be here from 3-4 pm and discuss the importance of Milwaukee's waterways and how to protect them. Meet & Greet to follow.

A story Time designed especially for adults! Why should kids be the only ones who get read to in the library? Come to the Community Room at King for a relaxing hour listening to a good tale or two.
